International experts were particularly impressed by the management and operational model based on ESG standards at Galaxy Innovation Hub — a flagship innovation center attracting numerous multinational technology corporations to collaborate and expand business activities in Ho Chi Minh City.
On September 26, as part of the 5th Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum (HEF) 2024, domestic and international delegates visited and conducted an on-site survey at Galaxy Innovation Hub, a pioneering industrial transformation model developed by HDBank.
The delegation toured the building, explored its construction process and functional design, experienced real-world applications of technology in management and operations, and engaged in discussions with organizations and experts working at the center.
Galaxy Innovation Hub was built on an area of more than 35,000 m² within Saigon Hi-Tech Park. Groundbreaking took place on February 21, 2020, and despite challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the center was completed and officially opened on November 1, 2023.
The hub has quickly become a destination for collaboration with leading multinational technology corporations such as Nidec and Nipro (Japan), Samsung (South Korea), Intel, Facebook, and Google (USA), as well as numerous domestic tech startups and projects.
International experts highly appreciated Galaxy Innovation Hub’s ESG-compliant management and operational model, its modern digital banking branch Vikki located within the center, and its Data Center developed to international standards.
During the visit, HDBank representatives shared that Galaxy Innovation Hub was honored with the Vietnam Design Award VMARK 2022 — a national-level award organized by VDAS to recognize outstanding design capabilities, innovative initiatives, and creative ideas from individuals, businesses, and investors in Vietnam.
This award affirms the center’s value not only as a creative workspace but also as a driver of modern, sustainable, and environmentally friendly design standards.
Galaxy Innovation Hub was also selected by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee and the World Economic Forum (WEF) to host the workshop “Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Ho Chi Minh City (C4IR) – A New Driver for Sustainable Development” on April 25, 2024 — an important activity leading up to the official inauguration of C4IR in Ho Chi Minh City on September 25.
At the inauguration, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, a founding member of C4IR in Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that the establishment of Galaxy Innovation Hub marks a significant leap in technological infrastructure and creates an innovation ecosystem that fosters sustainable growth.
“Galaxy Innovation Hub and the strategic projects we are implementing in Saigon Hi-Tech Park represent the first fruits of HDBank’s and its partners’ unwavering commitment to driving innovation, industrial transformation, and creating new momentum for sustainable development in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam,” Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao shared.
