How Transparency drives innovation and builds stronger relationships in the workplace nowadays?
In an ever-evolving world, ensuring transparency within an organization is crucial for building trust—both with customers and internal teams. By making transparency one of its five core values, Galaxy Holdings always emphasizes consistency in words and actions, ensuring that decisions are clearly explained and consistently shared, thereby creating a transparent, open, and trustworthy environment.
In this edition of Galaxy DNA, we are excited to introduce Mr. Nguyen Nho Cuong, our Cultural Ambassador representing the value of Transparency at Galaxy Holdings. As the Head of Technology at Galaxy Pay, he leads by example, pioneering the integration of transparency into our daily operations. Join us as we delve into his journey to becoming a Cultural Ambassador and hear his insights on the importance of transparency in the dynamic financial technology industry in Vietnam.

Transparency: The Key to Building Trust
When asked about his feelings upon being chosen as the Cultural Ambassador for transparency at Galaxy Holdings, Mr. Cuong expressed immense pride and surprise. He also emphasizes that consistency in words and actions builds trust — a fundamental principle he applies in his leadership role.

How Transparency Builds Trust and Drives High-Performance Teams
To build trust and transparency, I follow the principle of “consistency between words and actions”. When working in a team, transparency eliminates “gray areas” and unnecessary assumptions. When information is clear and shared, and the common goal is understood, collaboration flows seamlessly, boosting efficiency and minimizing risks. Especially in technology, every decision or even a line of code needs clear reasoning so the whole team can understand, contribute, and optimize the solution.

In the workplace, transparency builds a culture of trust and safety. When employees trust that decisions from leadership are fair and policies are consistently applied, they feel empowered to contribute freely, voice their opinions, take risks, and even embrace failure. This openness fosters innovation, allowing everyone to unlock their full potential.
Transparency in Action – Turning Challenges into Growth
Recently, while managing a critical project, I encountered a complex technical challenge that, if left unaddressed, could have delayed the entire project. Rather than facing this challenge alone, I decided to openly share the issue with the team during our weekly meeting. To our advantage, one team member pinpointed the root cause and connected us with an industry expert, enabling us to resolve the problem swiftly.
What stood out wasn’t just that we overcame the obstacle in time; it was the profound impact on the team. Everyone felt the strength of working in an environment built on trust, where both decisions and challenges are transparently shared.

The Future of Fintech: Transparency at the Core of Innovation
As customers become more discerning in their use of digital financial services, transparency will be a key factor in gaining a competitive edge. When entrusting their assets to a third party, what customers value most is trust — and that trust is built on a solid foundation of transparent practices.
At Galaxy Pay, we are committed to maintaining that trust by continually focusing on:
- Clear and Transparent Products and Pricing: We ensure that all terms, conditions, and service fees are clearly communicated, easy to understand, and free from hidden charges. Our user-friendly app provides instant access to transaction history and account balances, keeping users fully informed at all times.
- Data Transparency: We prioritize user data protection with strict security measures, and our policies are always accessible and transparent.
Looking forward to the future, I am confident that the value of transparency in the fintech industry will continue to grow, driven not only by customer expectations but also by increasingly stringent regulations from authorities.
Building a Transparent Culture: Advice for Individuals and Organizations
For individuals:
- Be consistent in your words and actions.
- Communicate proactively, don’t wait to be asked.
- Own your mistakes — admitting them helps build trust faster than any promise.
For organizations:
- Make transparency a core process, not just a slogan. Incorporate it into goal-setting and decision-making processes, and create safe channels for feedback.
