New York, 23/09/2026 – Within the framework of the Hello America 2026 Investment Conference organized by Sovico Group in New York – held during the working visit of General Secretary and President To Lam to the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly – Mastercard and Galaxy Pay officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance digital payment solutions and drive comprehensive digital transformation.
Mastercard and Galaxy Pay will jointly identify and assess initiatives that align with Galaxy Pay’s ecosystem, with an initial focus on payment gateways, e-wallet services, POS/SoftPOS solutions, and merchant acceptance. They aim to explore potential areas of collaboration to enhance the security and convenience of transactions for consumers and businesses.
Mastercard is expected to contribute its global payments network, technology capabilities, and relevant products and services. Galaxy Pay will work with Mastercard to assess how these capabilities can be applied to digital payment and transformation initiatives in Vietnam and other mutually agreed markets.
Mastercard and Galaxy Pay also plan to explore collaboration across areas including authentication, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, data analytics, customer loyalty and customer engagement. Based on their assessment of market needs and opportunities, the teams will jointly identify priority areas for cooperation, laying the groundwork for specific projects and initiatives aimed at tapping into new opportunities in Vietnam’s digital payments market.
