Job Descriptions:
Design, implement, and modernize Core Banking systems for financial entities within the SOVICO ecosystem. Lead the transformation from traditional core banking systems to modern platforms (cloud-native, microservices-based), supporting digital banking and Open Banking strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design modern Core Banking architecture: microservices-based, event-driven, cloud-native or hybrid deployment
- Lead Core Banking modernization: assess current systems, define migration strategies (big-bang, phased, or strangler pattern), and minimize transformation risks
- Design and implement core modules: Customer Information File (CIF), Deposits (CA/SA/TD), Lending (Loan Origination, Loan Management), General Ledger (GL), Payments (domestic/international)
- Build Open Banking platform: API Gateway for TPPs (Third Party Providers), consent management, PSD2-inspired architecture
- Design real-time transaction processing engine: high-throughput, ACID-compliant, capable of handling millions of transactions per day
- Integrate Core Banking with ecosystem platforms: e-wallets, mobile/internet banking, card management, treasury systems, AML/KYC
- Develop banking data architecture standards: Customer Master, Product Catalog, Pricing Engine, Interest Calculation Engine
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (SBV): Basel II/III, reporting standards, anti-money laundering, consumer protection
- Manage vendor relationships (e.g., Temenos, Finastra, Thought Machine, Mambu) and ensure implementation quality
Qualifications:
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in banking technology, with at least 7 years specializing in Core Banking systems
- Hands-on experience in implementing or modernizing at least one large-scale core banking system (e.g., Temenos T24/Transact, Finastra Essence, Oracle FLEXCUBE, Infosys Finacle, TCS BaNCS, or cloud-native platforms such as Thought Machine Vault, Mambu, 10x Banking)
- Strong knowledge of banking domains: Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Treasury, Trade Finance, Card Management
- Deep understanding of banking accounting: GL posting, accruals, amortization, interest calculation (simple, compound, reducing balance)
- Experience with banking integration: ISO 20022 messaging, SWIFT, NAPAS, payment switches, card schemes (Visa/Mastercard)
- Strong understanding of SBV regulations: banking circulars, Basel II/III capital requirements, reporting standards
- Experience with high-availability architecture for mission-critical systems: Active-Active clustering, zero-downtime deployment, RPO/RTO requirements
- Experience with database technologies commonly used in banking: Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, event sourcing patterns
- Proficiency in English (working with international banking software vendors)
Preferred Qualifications/ Advantages:
- Experience with Digital Twin platforms such as Azure Digital Twins and AWS IoT TwinMaker.
- Understanding of BMS (Building Management System), SCADA, and PLC systems in smart building / industrial environments.
- Experience with Computer Vision at the Edge (NVIDIA Jetson, Intel OpenVINO) for monitoring and recognition applications.
- AWS IoT Specialty or Azure IoT Developer certification is a plus.
