Chief Online Media Officer

Position Summary:

The Chief Online Media Officer (COMO) is responsible for defining and leading the Bank’s online media strategy to strengthen brand awareness, customer acquisition, engagement, and digital business growth.

The role oversees all paid, owned, and earned digital media channels, ensuring integrated marketing campaigns effectively support the Bank’s retail, SME, corporate banking, and digital banking businesses.

Working closely with Business Banking, Digital Banking, Product, Customer Experience, Data Analytics, and Technology teams, the COMO leverages customer data, marketing technologies, and digital platforms to maximize marketing ROI while maintaining compliance with banking regulations and brand governance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Online Media Strategy & Digital Growth

  • Develop and execute the Bank’s enterprise-wide Online Media Strategy aligned with business objectives and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Define annual digital media roadmap covering customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and cross-selling.
  • Establish media investment strategies to maximize business performance and customer lifetime value.
  • Drive omni-channel customer acquisition across digital banking ecosystems.

2. Performance Marketing & Customer Acquisition

  • Lead all Performance Marketing initiatives across Search, Display, Social Media, Video, Programmatic, Mobile Advertising, and Affiliate Marketing.
  • Optimize customer acquisition cost (CAC), conversion rate, and marketing ROI.
  • Manage digital campaigns supporting CASA, loans, credit cards, wealth management, insurance, and digital banking products.
  • Utilize data-driven optimization techniques to improve campaign performance.

3. Digital Media Planning & Campaign Management

  • Develop integrated media plans across owned, paid, and earned channels.
  • Manage digital marketing budgets and media agency relationships.
  • Ensure effective execution of branding, product launch, customer education, and acquisition campaigns.
  • Monitor campaign effectiveness using real-time analytics and reporting.

4. Data-driven Marketing & Marketing Technology

  • Collaborate with Data Analytics, CRM, and Digital Banking teams to leverage customer insights.
  • Utilize customer segmentation, personalization, AI, and marketing automation to improve customer engagement.
  • Optimize marketing technologies including CDP, CRM, Marketing Automation Platforms, Web Analytics, and Attribution Models.
  • Support customer journey optimization through digital touchpoints.

5. Brand Reputation & Digital Engagement

  • Manage the Bank’s online brand presence across digital platforms.
  • Monitor customer sentiment and online reputation.
  • Develop social media strategies to strengthen customer engagement and trust.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all online channels.

6. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all online marketing activities comply with banking regulations and internal governance.
  • Maintain compliance with customer data privacy and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Monitor digital advertising risks including fraud prevention and brand safety.
  • Implement digital marketing governance and vendor management frameworks.

7. Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and lead high-performing Digital Marketing, Media Planning, Performance Marketing, Social Media, and Content teams.
  • Develop organizational capabilities in digital marketing, analytics, AI marketing, and customer acquisition.
  • Foster a performance-driven and innovation-focused culture.
  • Collaborate closely with Executive Management to align media investments with business priorities.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Media, Economics, or related disciplines. MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum 12–15 yearsof progressive experience in Digital Marketing, Online Media, Performance Marketing, Growth Marketing, or Brand Management.
  • At least 5 yearsleading enterprise digital marketing or media organizations.
  • Strong experience managing large-scale online media budgets.
  • Proven track record in customer acquisition, digital sales growth, and performance optimization.
  • Deep understanding of Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Programmatic Advertising, SEO, SEM, CRM, CDP, Marketing Automation, and Web Analytics.
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Adobe Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Firebase, and attribution modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of banking products including Retail Banking, Digital Banking, Payments, Cards, Lending, Wealth Management, and Insurance.
  • Experience utilizing AI-powered marketing, personalization engines, and customer journey analytics.
  • Strong analytical mindset with expertise in KPI management, ROI analysis, customer funnel optimization, and marketing performance reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Experience working within Financial Services, Banking, Fintech, Digital Platforms, Telecommunications, or E-commerce industries is highly preferred.
