Data Protection Officer (DPO) Leader

Key Responsibilities:

Client Consulting & Service Delivery

  • Act as the Data Protection Officer (DPO) or Lead Advisor for key client projects.
  • Lead and directly participate in conducting current-state assessments, developing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and designing compliance roadmaps for clients.
  • Advise clients on “Privacy by Design” solutions for software systems and data flows, enabling compliance with legal requirements without disrupting business operations.
  • Directly lead emergency response processes when clients experience data breach incidents.

Service Quality Management & Development

  • Develop and standardize templates, assessment methodologies, and compliance checklists for consistent use across different client portfolios within G1.
  • Monitor and ensure that service deliverables meet the committed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Business Support

  • Partner with the Sales/Account team in client meetings as the subject matter expert to present solutions, demonstrate capabilities, and support project closure.

Consulting Team Leadership

  • Manage and allocate DPO specialists across client projects to optimize resource utilization.
  • Train and mentor the team on consulting skills, problem-solving skills, and continuously update legal and technology knowledge.

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Law (Technology Law), Information Security, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related fields.

Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in Data Protection Officer (DPO), IT Audit, IT Risk Management, or Security Consulting.
  • Experience working at consulting firms (Big4, IT Consulting, Law Firms) or providing B2B services is a significant advantage.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience managing teams and projects.

Professional Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of and hands-on experience implementing Decree No. 356/ND-CP. Familiarity with GDPR, ISO 27701, and SOC 2.
  • Solid understanding of system architecture, data flows, cloud technologies, and common technology business models to quickly assess and understand clients’ systems.
