On the morning of May 14, 2024, the panel discussion “Ransomware Attack – Don’t Lock the Barn After the Horse is Stolen,” hosted by Galaxy One, was successfully held in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting nearly 30 IT representatives from member units within Sovico Group. Topics discussed included: identifying attack behaviors, lessons from typical case studies, personal data protection under Decree 13 and GDPR, along with prevention, data recovery, and risk mitigation techniques in business environments.
Given increasingly sophisticated Ransomware, rising trends in targeted attacks and supply chain attacks in Vietnam are intensifying. According to 2024 cybersecurity reports, Vietnam ranks among the 10 most severely affected countries in the Asia-Pacific region, with numerous intrusions targeting finance, aviation, and digital services sectors.
