About the role:
Galaxy Joy: The unit responsible for developing and operating the Sky Joy loyalty alliance program for member companies within Sovico Group, while expanding an integrated ecosystem through strategic partnerships in Vietnam and globally.
We are building and operating a data platform that powers a multi-partner loyalty ecosystem spanning banking, airline, fintech, and digital services.
The platform integrates data from multiple internal and external systems, processes millions of records across hundreds of Snowflake tables, and serves critical business functions including Finance, BI, Loyalty Operations, Partner Settlement, Customer Data Platform (CDP), and Executive Reporting.
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who can take ownership of production-grade data systems, drive platform reliability, and help scale our data foundation as new partners and products are onboarded.
This is not a reporting or dashboard-focused role. We are looking for an engineer who understands how data platforms operate end-to-end, can troubleshoot complex production issues, and proactively improve reliability before business users are impacted.
Key Responsibilities:
Own Production Data Platform:
- Take ownership of critical production data pipelines and data domains.
- Ensure data is delivered accurately, reliably, and on time to downstream consumers.
- Continuously improve platform stability, observability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Drive issues to resolution instead of simply escalating problems.
Design & Build Data Pipelines:
- Design and implement scalable ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Integrate data from multiple sources including AWS S3, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, third-party partner systems, and vendor-managed loyalty platforms.
- Build reusable and maintainable pipeline frameworks supporting future partner onboarding.
Job requirements:
Education & Work Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering within production environments.
- 2+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience in production.
- Proven track record operating business-critical data platforms.
- Experience integrating data across multiple systems, vendors, or external partners.
Skills:
- Strong SQL engineering capability including Window Functions, Aggregation, Incremental Processing, MERGE, JSON/VARIANT, Deduplication, Data Reconciliation, and Query Optimization.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript or Python.
- Experience with AWS S3, file-based ingestion, event-driven processing, and data lifecycle management.
Communication:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Able to write clear technical documentation and work with English technical materials.
