Position Objective:<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Chief Data Officer (CDO) is responsible for defining and executing the organization’s enterprise-wide data strategy to transform data into a strategic business asset. The CDO will lead data governance, data quality, analytics, regulatory compliance, and enterprise data platform initiatives to enable data-driven decision-making, operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable business growth.<\/p>\n

Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with business leaders, technology teams, and compliance stakeholders, the CDO will establish a scalable and secure data ecosystem across the organization.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/span><\/h2>\n

  1. Enterprise Data Strategy<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      \n
    • Define and execute the enterprise data vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with corporate objectives.<\/li>\n
    • Establish data as a strategic asset to support business growth, digital transformation, and operational efficiency.<\/li>\n
    • Develop enterprise-wide data policies, standards, and frameworks.<\/li>\n
    • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to improve customer experience, revenue growth, and business performance.<\/li>\n
    • Build a data-driven culture across all business units.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      1. Enterprise Data Architecture & Data Systems<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        • Design and oversee the enterprise data architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and interoperability across systems.<\/li>\n
        • Lead the development of enterprise data platforms, data warehouses, data lakes, and master data management solutions.<\/li>\n
        • Establish a unified data ecosystem integrating internal and external data sources.<\/li>\n
        • Define technology standards and best practices for data management and analytics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          1. Data Governance & Quality<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
              \n
            • Establish and chair the Enterprise Data Governance Council.<\/li>\n
            • Develop data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models.<\/li>\n
            • Define and monitor data quality standards, KPIs, and controls.<\/li>\n
            • Ensure consistency, accuracy, completeness, and reliability of enterprise data.<\/li>\n
            • Implement data lifecycle management practices and governance frameworks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              1. Data Platform, Analytics & AI<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                  \n
                • Lead enterprise analytics, business intelligence, and advanced analytics initiatives.<\/li>\n
                • Develop self-service reporting and data visualization capabilities for business stakeholders.<\/li>\n
                • Drive predictive analytics, machine learning, and AI adoption where applicable.<\/li>\n
                • Build data products and insights that support strategic decision-making.<\/li>\n
                • Establish enterprise KPI frameworks and performance dashboards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  1. Regulatory Reporting & Data Compliance<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                      \n
                    • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n
                    • Oversee regulatory reporting accuracy and data integrity.<\/li>\n
                    • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Legal teams on data-related controls and governance.<\/li>\n
                    • Develop policies and procedures to meet industry regulations and corporate standards.<\/li>\n
                    • Manage data retention, data protection, and audit readiness requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                      1. Leadership & Stakeholder Management<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                          \n
                        • Build and lead high-performing teams across Data Governance, Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, and Data Operations.<\/li>\n
                        • Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team on data strategy and business insights.<\/li>\n
                        • Manage vendor relationships and external data partnerships.<\/li>\n
                        • Drive change management and enterprise-wide adoption of data initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                          Job Requirements:<\/span><\/h2>\n
                            \n
                          • MBA\/ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Information Management, Analytics, or related field). PhD is preferred.<\/li>\n
                          • Minimum 12\u201315 years of progressive experience in Data Management, Data Engineering, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Governance, or related fields.<\/li>\n
                          • At least 5 years of experience in executive or senior leadership roles overseeing enterprise-wide data strategy and transformation initiatives.<\/li>\n
                          • Proven track record in designing and implementing enterprise data strategies, governance frameworks, and large-scale data platforms.<\/li>\n
                          • Strong experience in building and leading high-performing teams across Data Governance, Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, and Data Operations.<\/li>\n
                          • Demonstrated success in driving data-driven transformation, advanced analytics, AI adoption, and business value creation through data.<\/li>\n
                          • Deep understanding of data privacy regulations, data security, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements.<\/li>\n
                          • Experience in Financial Services, Fintech, Banking, Insurance, Telecommunications, Retail, Loyalty Platforms, or Digital Ecosystems is strongly preferred.<\/li>\n
                          • Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
