Responsibilities and Duties:
- Take ownership of the Forex system technical architecture, gradually enabling GTS to master the core system and become a technical partner of the client.
- Understand the overall design and architecture of the Forex system.
- Review solutions, source code, and estimations, ensuring non-functional requirements (security, performance, etc.) are met.
- Lead the technical roadmap in collaboration with the Account Lead and Delivery Manager.
- Mentor Tech Leads and senior developers to build internal technical capabilities.
- Participate in high-level technical discussions with clients and Japanese vendors.
- Organize and monitor software development lifecycle such as approving documents and managing work, evaluating, and selecting software solutions, programming tools.
- The Technical Architect will be involved in all phases of the product development cycle including requirements analysis, conceptual design, project estimation, detailed design, software construction and deployment.
- The Technical Architect will also facilitate and lead the core development process as well as ensure proper interaction with existing or new technology.
- Understanding and applying software architecture and application security.
- Technical support, solving problems.
- Research new software engineering technical and apply them to the projects.
- Perform other duties as requested by superiors.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s graduate or higher majoring in information technology, computer science or related disciplines.
- 8–10 years of software development experience, including 3+ years in an Architect or Tech Lead role.
- Japanese language proficiency at N3 level or above.
- Certifications in software architecture or cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect). (If any).
- System architecture.
- High-availability, security, and performance–critical systems.
- Backend systems and integration systems.
- Understanding of financial systems / trading systems.
- System-level thinking and strong ownership mindset.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with Japanese clients, with patience and logical thinking.
- Have high-level of knowledge, masters programming language resources.
- Experience in guiding proposals/bids for technical solutions, estimates and resource plans.
- Good teamwork spirit and a willingness to understand the various roles played by fellow team members.
- Good logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze / study new technical, new frameworks.
